You can make a post in a forum by replying to an existing post or starting a new thread.

How to reply to a post

The following ‘best practice’ instructions show you a simple method for replying to posts:

1. click ‘Reply’ immediately below the existing message
2. leave the ‘Subject’ field unchanged
3. type your reply into the ‘Message’ field; ensure your reply is about the same topic (new information should be introduced in a separate, new post – see below)
4. review your message to check for errors and make sure you’ve conformed to the netiquette rules
5. click ‘Post to forum’.

1. navigate to the relevant forum
2. click on ‘Add a new discussion topic’
3. fill out the ‘Subject’ field with a short heading that represents your topic
4. type your topic into the ‘Message’ field
5. review your message to check for any errors or check if you have conformed to the netiquette rules
6. click on ‘Post to forum’.
